Having a VIS minor means hours slaving away at the studio (sometimes overnight ><) trying to finish project after project. Art has always been stressFREE for me, up until it became a serious part of my studies in university. I consider myself to be kind of a nit-pick in a lot of the ways I like things to be done.. and creating art was never any different. For the longest time, the way I painted or drew something was extremely disciplined in its practice. The entire process was mapped out, the pre-plans had plans, sketches were drawn again and again and then again, and you get the idea..
So for one of my pieces this year I decided to let all things loose and just go for it. At the time I started this project I was obsessed with the song Lost by Anouk Teeuwe. So I deafened myself from the world, put Lost on repeat, and listened and painted, and listened and splattered, and listened and flung, paint.

You may not like it at all, you may not get it, you may love it, or question it.. but keep in mind that art (like most things) is incredibly subjective and always open to individual interpretation.
